Gowri Bai is the only daughter of
Musalay
Shankar Rao and Mohini Bai
from Jammalamadugu, Kadapa(Dt),
Andhra Pradesh.
Shankar Rao used to work as
part time accounting clerk in
different shops in the town. Gouri
Bai is a very brilliant
student in her high school, she
scored 892/1000 in her 10 + 2. She
got rank in TTC and joined Kurnool
College. Her father used to send her
Rs.2000 for her college expenses.
Unfortunately he was involved in an
accident and fractured his back
bone. He is now unable to stand or
sit. In this situation his wife
Mohini Bai took responsibility of
her family and started earning by
stitching clothes on her
sewing machine. In the
meantime their savings were spent on
Shankar Rao's medical
treatment. This has even affected
Gowri Bai's education, since she had
to abandon her education and come
home. She has another six months of
her education left to complete.
This family is looking forward for
some help in this situation.
